August Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello.  For the last few weeks of summer vacation I played with my friends and played soccer and played with my brothers and ran at summer running club.  And I played video games and I played LEGOs and I played fun other stuff.

I was so excited to go back to school.  I am in 3rd grade. My teacher is Mrs. Zimmerman and she is super nice. Third grade is really fun.  I like to play soccer with all my friends.  I like that the math is harder and actually is a challenge.  And I like that the other subjects are good for me too.

My fall soccer season started up.  My coach is my friend Alex's dad, Trevor.  Our team is really good. I think it's good.  The fields are good because they are bigger.  We had our first game last weekend and we won 5-0.  I think it's going to be a really fun soccer season!

Summer has been such a fun time.  And school is fun too!  I can't wait for the whole rest of the year which tons of fun activities.  Ok bye.

July Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello.  This month I did summer soccer for the first time.  It was fun playing against teams that were a challenge.  I played up in a higher division but we still beat all the other teams.  We lost one against a really good team but then we came back at the end of the season and beat them.  It was fun playing soccer with all my buddies.  I knew everyone on the team.

We went on a 4th of July hike to Lake Mary.  It was fun climbing rocks and hiking around. I found a cool fortress.  And then we went to the Brighton parade where people would ride around and through candy to us.  I helped some of my younger cousins get candy.

We had a BBQ at our house that night with lots of our cousins.  It was really fun to eat and play with my cousins!

Also for the 4th of July we shot off fireworks.  It was really cool watching the fireworks and fun to light some fireworks.  And the smoke bombs were fun!

I had my first cub camp this month.  It was really fun hiking and doing other fun stuff like archery and we did an obstacle course and lots of other fun stuff.  It was super fun!

It was fun going to Lagoon with my cousins the Walker's.  It was fun going on the Cannibal and going on a bunch of rides.  I like the bumper cars a lot!

Our family is really cause Eric got a pet parakeet.  Her name is Sky.  I like putting her on my arm and having her crawl up to my shoulder and down my back.  It's really fun.  We love to put her on the windowsill and watch her try to chase cars.  It's really fun having her walk around when we play in Eric's room.

This month we had our O'Berry reunion at Grandpa Pat's house in Lovell, Wyoming.  

We went on a boat tour and then played in the water.  We had this cool raft that we loved to ride around on.  It was fun swimming around and playing with my cousins!

We went to Billings to Uncle Ed's house.  We played some games and then we went out to do cousin races and O'Berry Ninja Warriors.  We would go through an obstacle course and do some different races. And then we did this really weird dance and did s'mores.

We went to Porcupine Falls as part of the reunion.  It was fun climbing and finding cool caves.  We found a cave that went super deep through the mountain all the way to the top of the mountain.  My dad, brothers and some cousins cliff dived into the water.  It was really funny watching them!

I thought the reunion was really good and I want to thank my Grandpa for making the reunion.

I can't wait for school to start up next month.  It's been a really fun summer.  Bye!

June Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello, every year are school has a field day.  A field day is a day to celebrate are school year.  We play fun games that parents set up for us.  There's water other fun stuff.  It was really fun.  Yeah!!

 

Also, we always have a end of school party that are family through's every year.  I had lots of fun playing with my friends out in the field.  We played soccer out in the field and played volleyball.  Yeah!!

I played soccer in the spring with all my friends. Our team in my opinion was EPIC!  I had really fun playing with my best friend Alek and my other buddies.  We won a lot! Yeah!!

Pool!!  Summer!!  Yeah!!  Summer is so fun going to the pool and playing with my friends at the pool!  I love to go off the diving boards.  I also like playing in the shallow end with my water guns and torpedos that I got for my birthday.   Yeah!!

I like to play with my friends in the summer time.  We do NERF wars and we like to jump on the tramp and play kick ball and do night games.  Summer is so fun!  Yeah!!

I learned how to drive a 4-wheeler.  It is fun riding on trails and playing at the cabin.  I usually drive the recon that is for kids.  It is really fun driving on the 4-wheelers with my mom and dad.  Yeah!!

We always have a primary neighborhood bike parade.  We decorate our bikes and ride them through the neighborhood.  A bunch of people are out there to watch us and we can smile or wave to them.  After we get otter pops and we can play around with our buddies.  It was fun.  Yeah!!

Happy Birthday Eric!!  Eric turned 11 this month and got a really cool bike.  Brandon made him a poster of a bunch of Iron Mans because Eric loves Iron Man.  Mom and dad got Eric the bike.  They were so kind.  It was amazing to see Eric's smile on his face.  Yeah!!

May Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello!  This month was a fun month.  This month I got baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by my dad.  Lots of my family were there when I got baptized and confirmed.  I was very happy when I got baptized.  A great joy came to me.  It was fun and exciting.

I play soccer in a rec league.  I love playing soccer with my buddies: Alek, Alex, Damian, Garrett and Peter. We are called the Navy Seals.  My team has been a really good team this season.  We still have one more game.  Our scores have been 6-1.  Alek my best best buddy is on my team.  He is pretty good too.  Also Damian and Alex and I'm hoping to keep them on my team next season.  

Mother's Day is a really fun day of the year.  Mother's day was really fun and exciting.  On Mother's day we woke up first thing in the morning and made our mom breakfast.  The breakfast was french toast and fruit.  It was a really fun Sunday.  Grandpa Pat was also with us which was great!

I went a year with no sugar.  It took some hard work to accomplish what I have done.  I got $100 and bought a LEGO set and then put the rest in my savings and tithing.  The LEGO set I got was The Battle of the Five Armies from The Hobbit.  I had a lot of fun building it and playing with it.

This month I had my first Pinewood Derby.  Pinewood Derby is where you make cars and race them down a track.  My car was UNDEFEATED!  I won all the time, even in the Championship.  I got first place and I am happy that my brother Eric got third place (last year he got first!).  I had really fun playing with my friends.  

I went to the cabin over Memorial Weekend.  My dad and mom taught me how to drive 4-wheelers. It was fun going on trails and the main road once I had learned how to drive a 4-wheeler.  Mostly all my dad said was "Ok go".  I have mastered driving 4-wheelers, I am really good at it.  The cabin is a really fun place with lots of trails that we can explore.  We also played with cabin cousins Austin and Owen.  We played on the fort and around the fort.  We made a pond up there.  It was a lot of fun!

Our 2nd home is back!  Swimming at the pool is some of the best things in the summer to do for our family.  We call it our 2nd home since we play there so much.  It was fun going off the diving board and playing in the shallow part.  I had to get kinda used to going off the diving board again since it's been a year.

April Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

This month I signed up for soccer. My dad is my coach! We have won three games and lost one game.  I love soccer so much. I have lots of friends I signed up with so they could be on my team including some of there friends, too.

My birthday was this month and I turned eight!!!!! My birthday party was at my house with more then twenty friends there. There were cupcakes and cakes that we made to look like monsters, fruit, chips and a pinata!  We played soccer and jumped on our tramp.  

For my birthday I got a scout uniform because now I am 8.  I am a Wolf.  I love scouts, all the stuff that we do.  I had a pack meeting this month.  It was the Blue & Gold Banquet and we ate and played games and dressed up like super heros.  I like the den meetings that we have.  

We had a fun run for our school.  It was a 5K.  I ran it and had fun at the Expo after.  Me and my brothers all got first place in our grades.  We got medals and a certificate to go to Boondooks.  I like playing with my friends after the fun run.  

We went to a ReAL Salt Lake soccer game.  We had fun watching them play soccer.  They played against the Houston Dynomo and ReAL won 2-1!  We ate popcorn and cinnamon nuts at the game and my brothers got slushies.

March Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello!  This month I went to the Jazz game with my dad.  I got to watch them score and eat yummy stuff!  I think basketball is a great sport and I like to play.  I spend a lot of time shooting hoops outside.

I like to cook.  Sometimes I wear my mom's apron.  It's fun cooking lots of meals.

We decorated Easter eggs because it was almost Easter.  I liked making Broncos eggs and making colorful eggs.  It was fun cracking the eggs open and looking if there were eyeballs in them from the dye.

We had an Easter egg hunt at my house with lots of cousins, Uncles & Aunts.  I hunted eggs and then traded the candy in for a huge bag of pretzel sticks because I don't eat sugar.  It was really fun!

I think Easter is a very holy and sacred day.  But it's also fun.  We celebrate Easter for the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  I just always feel so comfortable on Sunday but especially on Easter Sunday.  This time we went over to Amy's house for dinner to celebrate Easter.  I had so much fun.

February Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello my dear family and friends.  I learned something new about myself.  I LOVE to play basketball!  And I'm quite good.  I like that I have a really great team and a really great coach.  I hope that I can get the same coach next winter.  Now that the weather is nicer I love to go out and shoot hoops.  I'm out there first thing in the morning and play until dark.  Some of my teammates are Tate, Titon, Olivia and my friends Caioss and Danny.

Yeah!  Valentines day was great!  At school we had a class party for Valentines Day.  It was so fun. My mom was there and helped us do our project.  There was food there, unfortunately, most of it was sugar foods which I don't eat.  But that's ok.  I feel great not eating sugar.  I feel faster and healthier.  

Valentines Day was a nice Sunday with my family.

The weather is getting nice for riding bikes.  So my dad sprayed my bike so it would be faster and loosened my pedals.  I like to ride my bike around the circle and down the street and around the neighborhood.

We went to the Provo City Center Temple Open House.  We had a fun time looking at the temple.  I think my favorite part of the temple is the sealing room with their cool chandeliers.  The temple looked like a castle unlike other temples.  The temple makes me feel warm and calm inside.

Our cousins the Walkers came to visit.  They are such a nice family.  We went to the BYU Men's Volleyball game with them.  It was so fun.  My uncle Ed was even so nice to buy me some popcorn. BYU won.  It was so fun to watch them hit balls and see the half time shows.  

This February has been such a fun month with so much fun activities.  I love to go to school and play with my brothers and friends.
