Hello! November has been super great with lots of activities.
It was so fun at Grandma Chris' Thanksgiving party. We ate dinner and played with cousins and also got which cousin we get to buy a Christmas present for. I got Tyler.
We went to Mesa Verde on our way to Los Alamos, New Mexico for Thanksgiving. We stopped there to look at some cool ancient buildings called Pueblos. I am actually learning about them in school right now and am working on a report about the South Western Native Americans. I was in charge of researching shelter for my group. Mesa Verde was super cool. I still don't know how they got down to their villages if they are in mountains and the mountains are flat. We could've got to explore the Pueblos but they are closed for the winter.
We also stopped for a bit in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. We went on a little walk to check out the hot springs and found a big, gigantic chess board. Eric and I had a match and I got checkmated by him. I still took a lot of his pieces. It was a fun experience playing on a gigantic chess board.
We were going to Los Alamos to visit out cousins the Sintay's. It was so fun! We played games and we also played Super Smash Bros Brawl. For Thanksgiving we had a large meal with lots of different kinds of food. We also went to go watch the movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them". We had Turkey Bowl (football).
When we were at the Sintay's we went to Bandelier National Monument which was kind of like Mesa Verde with lots of Pueblos and cliff dwellings. We also got to climb into a lot of them on large ladders. One of the climbs was 140 feet up. And we had to climb up ladders to get there! It was super fun!!
We also helped decorate their Christmas tree. They said we should only decorate it with red and gold ornaments. After it was done we admired our great work!
We wrote our Santa lists at the Sintay's house with our cousins. On my Santa list I didn't know what I wanted to ask for so I said I'd leave it up to him to give me my present.
Once we got home, we celebrated dad's birthday and did our own Christmas decorating. Our Christmas tree has lots of colors and we have lots of Christmas decorations. We even took a picture with Sky (Eric's parakeet) on the Christmas tree. She's a really fun bird.
We also got new rooms because of our coming baby brother Sam. Eric & I are bunked in what used to be Brandon's room. Eric has the top bunk and I have the lower bunk. We each have our own lamp so we can read at night. Our new room has gray walls, orange curtains and blue bedding. It is a Broncos room! My brother Brandon has moved into what used to be my room and he has a BYU room! Baby Sam will be moving into what was Eric's room.
