November Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello. I hope you are having a good Thanksgiving. One thing I like to do is cook this delicious meal called German Pancakes. They are so good and so fun to bake. I usually bake it during Sunday morning and all the boys devour it. I have to bake a double and a normal batch to feed them. I love eating German Pancakes.

We went to St. George with almost all of my cousins. We played at the park a lot and did some football. We went and saw the monument for the Mountain Meadows Massacre to. It was so sad seeing graves of 7 and 8 year old kids. I learned some new things and had lots of fun at St. George. I'll be waiting for our next St. George.

We also went to Snow Canyon and I had lots of fun climbing rocks and finding very large caves. I found an enormous cave that looked like a hut and I had lots of fun in there. I climbed to the highest peak on one of the hills. We also went to a sand dune and slid down it. I also got buried with sand. I had lots of fun. What made it even more fun was that lots of my cousins were there. We even got animations of us rolling down the hill.

One of my favorite activities this month is that we got to go to Gardener Village and do an escape room. We were doing the wizard one, which was the hardest out of all of them because only 27% get out. We almost got out. The funny thing is that we finished half of the room and we thought we were done. But then a door opened and it lead us into an entire other room with only 18 minutes to go. We got through two clues after that but we still couldn't win. But I still had an amazing time.

Well, I guess that is it for this month. I hope you had a good month. School has been pretty easy and I have had a lot of fun playing my last season with my "used to be" soccer team, Razzia. Now I play for Copper Mountain. I am about to start my basketball season and I am very excited. Love you and Bye.

October Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Our outdoor soccer season is over. I had a fun season. I had 3 really good games. One we won 5-3. I scored 3 goals. Another was a win at a whopping 4-1! I scored 3 goals too. I had another game that was 3-4. Even though we lost, I scored 2 goals! Our season record was 2-7-1, but our two wins were awesome.

Brandon had his 16th birthday this month. He now can drive, he has a job, and he got his debit card! I've drove with him a couple of times, and he drives really good. He has a cool truck too. He got the cool wireless earbuds and we had a good  breakfast and dinner. We had a good time.

We had Pinewood Derby this month too. But something strange happened. I got second for all of my 4 races and kept on getting second when I was just racing for fun. I didn't win, but I don't care. We were going for looks instead of quality. We made a Volkswagen Beetle and called it the O.R.B.  It standed for Obviously Really Bad. We had no time to make it so we just did this.

We had our Halloween family party at Darren's house. We were lumberjacks. There were some fun games and I had a lot of fun at there house playing with my cousins. There was spaghetti and lots of good food. I had an awesome time.

I carved my own pumpkins by myself this year. I think I did a good job without any help from dad or mom. I carves two, that were both orange. I had lots of fun and my pumpkins looked pretty cool.

We went Trick-or-Treating. I went with Alek, my best friend. I had decided to do no sugar a week before, so I picked out 5 treats as cheats. My mom and dad also went off sugar, but they've had a couple instances. (See picture). It was fun. I've had to hide my candy for the time being from my dad. I have been giving away them to my brothers.

Well, I've had a good month. I hope you had a good one too. Bye.

August Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

I have had a very outdoorsy's month. I went to the cabin with Eric, Brandon, and their friends. I had fun having smores over the fire pit. My brothers and I played a lot of games. We also play some video games.

I had my first day of fifth grade today. It was fun but very confusing. We change classes from 1st period to 4th period. My favorite period is 3rd period. (Because it's Math).

I now play on a comp. team. I play for Razzia Rage. I also guest play for Razzia Riptide, which is the other u-8 team. I also practice with the school soccer team. This all adds up to 9-10 practices and 3 games at maximum. It is tiring but fun!

I went to the cabin again with my friend. His name is Peter. We had fun four-wheeling, eating smores, and exploring. We had a ton of fun together.

Well that may rap it up folks. Goodbye!

Love, Kyle Barnhisel

July Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello! We had family pictures over at Thanksgiving Point. After that, we explored then ate at Fire House Subs. It was pretty delicious if I say so myself. It was a fun day.

What we did for the Fourth Of July was pretty fun. We hiked to two lakes. I climbed on to an island. Then we hiked down and were in a parade with our side by side. I got lots of candy!!! It was pretty fun.

Also for Fourth Of July we went to my uncle's house. It has a swimming pool!!! Then we watched fireworks go off all over the valley because he lives in the mountains. It was spectacular.

I play on my friend's team. We do scrimmages against the Mexican league. I play half as goalie. It is pretty fun.

I got to go to a real game and walk out with the players. It was really awesome. The game tied but it was still fun.

I got to play on the field during halftime. I lost my cleat so I had to play in shoes. It was fun!!

I got to swim in a crater. It was so warm. There were so scuba divers there. I had a lot of fun.

Well, I guess that is it. Bye!

May Letter

 Dear Family & Friends,

Hello. I've had a good month with LOTS of fun activities! We celebrated Mother's Day with some food then got our pictures with mom. It was a peaceful morning. And we sang a song during Sacrament Meeting at church. It was a happy day.

Our end of school field day was fun! We also were able to dress as twins so we became sixlets with me, Damian, Nolan, Alek, Troy and Kyson. The whole day was fun. We had lots of fun activities. After that we were able to free play for a long time.

Our rec soccer season ended. We were undefeated! We got medals and snacks. We had a few close games but mostly we just destroyed everyone else. Our biggest blowout was 15-0 and it happened to be the last game!

I am now finished with rec soccer because I tried out for a comp team called Razzia. I made the team. Mom and Dad felt like I needed some better competition then what I have been getting in rec. There were two different teams for my age group. Me and Alek are on one team (with Owen) and Alex and Damian are on the other team.

During Memorial Weekend we went up to our cabin. We drove the 4-wheelers on many rides. We also worked hard fixing fences, chopping wood and building fires. I like to build fires. We also visited Aunt Ginger and hung out with her a lot. It was fun to be at the cabin.

We have summer break!! We put up our tramp and play dodge ball on it. I also love to just play on the tramp by myself. I sometimes bring Sam on with me and play games with him.

I also mow the lawn for my family. That's how I make my money.

I made some new friends in the neighborhood named Holden, Archer and Coleman. Holden and I hang out a lot with Jamison Peterson. We sometimes go to the ice shack for snow cones.

Summer has been going really great. I'm so happy that we can be free and not have school. So far it has been so fun. Bye!

April Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

Hello! Hello! How are you? Did you have a good Easter? I did. It was very fun.

We watched General Conference on Easter Sunday. We played a game with treats. I of course had non-sugar treats. There were a lot of changes announced during Conference. I was shocked to hear that Russia was getting a temple!!

I went to a Jazz game with my dad and mom. My aunt Lizzy is a Jazz dancer and I saw her at the end of the game. We won! It was really cool!

Dad took us boys on a day adventure over Spring Break. We went to a old town and found a temple with a basketball court. We collected trilobites for a couple hours. The trip was fun!

I had my 10th birthday! I invited some friends and had a party at my house. We had some good food from Cafe Rio! I had a lot of pork tacos! They are my favorite! I got some pretty good stuff!

Since it was my birthday that meant the end of my second year off of sugar. I got $100! I paid my tithing and then put $40 in my savings. The rest of the money was mine. I haven't spent it yet.

I am playing spring soccer. My team is really good. I have some of my friends on the team. Right now we are undefeated. We won our first game 14-0. Our next game was 7-1. And our third game was 7-6. I usually play goalie for half of the game. I like to play soccer!

We have Sage testing going on at school. I got a 3 on my Science Sage. I still have Writing, ELA and Math Sage tests to take. I am pretty confident that I will get a good score.

I am so glad that spring is here! I love to go and play soccer and basketball outside. We put back up our trampoline and I play on it a lot. Bye!
