March Letter

Dear Family & Friends,

(Ok so this one is all Kyle.  I just wrote what he said and tried to keep a straight face.)

Hewwo!  I am nice to see you.  And this is St Patrick Day.  We celebrate about the President Monson.  And this is me dressed up in a hat that is green.  Because St Patricks Day, like the people who plan on St Patricks day are green.  The sneaky leprechauns, Eric set up a trap and he saw tons of stuff on his trap.

And this is me.  This is my school pictures.  And I go to preschool.  And what school do you go to?  I go to preschool, that is what I go do.  And my name is Kyle.  Preschool is about learning about like important stuff like you know that homework is how you like learn to do like, how to read.  And reading is about school.  And preschool is what school I go to.  And what school do you go to?  Just find out.  First you go to preschool, then you go to kintergarten and now I am going to talk about Kintergarten.  Kindergarten there are games that are fun.  See Kintergarten is not like how to watch movies and play, you have to play like at a certain time you have to play when the school says to you that you can.

Now this is about Easter.  See this is Easter and these decorating eggs, they are not like when you want to decorate eggs.  You have to wait for the achievement girls.  They are like the ones that join in and the achievement girls got to decorate eggs with us.  They are the ones that help my mom to do the right thing.  They are the ones that are very talented at doing eggs.  And the Easter Bunny is the one that has our baskets.  This is the holiday, Easter.  And we collect eggs.  Your mom goes out and hides them in the field and we run out to grab the eggs and find them.  Because the next day we were doing an Easter Egg hunt at our grandmas.

And the next day before that we did a ginormous easter egg hunt at a field where they were just laying on the ground and I was in a circle that had tons of eggs and I was sitting on the middle part collecting all the eggs that are over me.  And no one was bothering me.  Only I was collecting the eggs.  And this is the day about Easter.

And this is me.  Easter is the resurrection of Jesus.  Jesus is the one that had to go in the tomb.  He's the one who saves us.  With his special power, like if we are in water and it's a big storm he can like stop it from doing the thing.  The resurrection is like after you died you go up to heaven and your resurrection and that's how you go in the tomb.  Now let's talk about baptized.  When you get baptized you see, mom's can't do it you know.  But dad's can because they have the Priesthood.  So you know that, you see, you can't be like 6 or 7 or like 5 or 4 to be baptized.  You see you just have to be like 8.  Because when you are 8 you get to be baptized and that's the important thing of church.  And because when you are baptized that means you are close to being dead, but you can come back someday.  But you can't come back right away, you have to wait like a minute before you can come back.  It's not like when you get dead that you come back into the tummy like a baby, you just come when the Priesthood tells you, you can go back to live with your family again.  And that is the portant part of dying.  You can't come back when you immediately die.

I have been keeping track of some of the funny things that Kyle said during the month.  So I will add that here:

"I love the number 8 because you get baptized."

He saw some of the little fuzzy buds that come off the trees this time of year.  He told me they were caterpillars.  I told him they were just buds.  He said "No mom, they are caterpillars, dad told me.  Those caterpillars turn green and they help the trees grow bigger and more colorful."

"You buyed me from Jesus to get me."

And my personal favorite "Boys are human and girls are women."

Goodbye.  And next time, have a good day at school.  And Easter, and have fun.  Byyyeee!!

Love Kyle Patrick Barnhisel
