December Letter

 Dear Family & Friends,

I went to a cool polar express themed train for a festive train ride. We had hot chocolate, went to the north pole, and got a present from Santa. It was pretty fun.

We built a 2-D "Gingerbread House." Lets just say it was a good journey and it was pretty tasty to eat after. It almost worked. All you have to do is forget about my hand behind it holding it up. It sure does look like Sam had a great time. I do have to say, at least my tree was pretty good looking,
Shoveling... Not much to write about. It isn't really anything special. I had to put on a smile for the photos, but when your outside shoveling 3 times a day it isn't that cheerful. We did get a massive storm that a gave us a nice 20 inches of snow. We were outside shoveling for a quite a while that day.

We went to this cool village with lots of fun things to do and see. We had some treats, fought each other in a duel, and saw lots of cool old timey houses. It was pretty cool but they had heaters positioned around the village. It was a really big village filled with lots of cool things. I had a lot of fun. I guess they do lots of other events around the year which I would love to go to.

We had our annual Christmas party with my cousins. We did some minute to win it games, ate Italian food, (very delicious), and watched a movie. I had a lot of fun with my cousins, though not many are my age.

I tried skiing for the first time. Didn't really enjoy it that much. It was pretty fun when I got going. It just wasn't that fun when I crashed. I'm not really a snow person.

Christmas was pretty fun. I got some nice presents. But of course Christmas isn't all about presents. But for the sake of your entertainment and me finishing this letter quick, I'll just talk about Santa's slice of Christmas. I got a cool scooter. The best things I got was a nice shirt from Eric, and a game called Bohnanza.

Well happy new year! I hope you all have the best year. Love, Kyle Patrick Barnhisel

November Letter

 Dear Family & Friends,

Hello everyone! I had a great November. We started it off at home. We had a few visits from relatives and friends, including my cousin Craig. If I spelled that wrong I'm sorry. We had one night where I made snickerdoodles, and then our bishop brought brownies, and then our neighbor brought more sweets, (my stomach was pretty upset after that).

We then made the ten hour drive to our cousins house in New Mexico. First we stopped in Mesa Verde, which was a lot of fun. We then made the rest of the trip to their house in Los Alamos. We played lots of board games, we watched movies, and we played lots of smash. We also had the turkey bowl which was really fun. We ate lots of pies and had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. It was also my dad's birthday and he got this really cool drone that is really fancy. I got to fly it a bit and it was really cool. We then made the long ten hour drive back.

That's all for this month. I hope you all are safe. Bye!

October Letter

 Dear Family & Friends,

I went on a walk up the canyon. It was pretty fun. I found a cool walking stick. It's cool that I was able to just walk like five minutes to this wonderful walk.

Since it's October, we had to go to a corn maze, and there's no better place than the corn maze just a few minutes from us. We went through the corn maze, fed animals, played on hay stacks and slides, and played giant chess. We also played corn hole. We had a great time and also visited a cute little shop with lots of old antiques.

For the first time ever we went to a place that might be a new tradition. It's this really cool Harry Potter castle. We drank butterbeer, had a little mystery competition, ate a meal, and did an escape room. There was this real cool raven that could take your money and put it in a box all by itself. It was really spectacular. They also had live owls there.

And of course, there was Halloween this month. I decided to dress up as dead Napoleon dynamite and go do a little trunk r treating. I also met up with some friends and we had a fun time walking around.

Well that's all for this month. Bye!

September Letter

 Dear Family & Friends,

Hello. This month was fun. I went to the carnival at Payson Days and rode a few rides. I went on the merry-go-round to get Sam the courage to ride and then he rode every ride he could. I rode a swing that was pretty crazy and we got some good food.

I also went to Swiss Days up in Midway which was really cool. We watched the parade, hung out with my dad's friends family, and jumped on some jump houses. We also got some nice treats and a breakfast. We watched a guy yodel and he was really good.

Me and my friend Max got to ride in a limo to the BYU / Utah game where BYU finally won! We ate a cougar tail and some popcorn. It started raining really bad but luckily we were under a roof so we didn't get dumped on. We celebrated a bit because BYU won and then went home.

I am a slave and had to wash the Jeep. Not really anything interesting here.

It is getting beautiful up here. The leaves are turning beautiful colors. So, umm... ya. That happened.

Well that's my month. Stay safe! Bye! Love, Kyle Patrick Barnhisel

August Letter

 Dear Family & Friends,

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a great august. I went to a fair but there wasn't really anything to do there. I got some food and looked at some cars with my friend Sam and my brother Sam.

I then went and watched a firework show that was pretty cool. There was some really loud and big fireworks. They had lots of spectacular fireworks and a cool finale.

School... I'm going in to 8th grade, I attend Salem Jr. High, my favorite class is P.E.

I then went to a TOSH risk assessment where they tried to find out what was wrong with me. It went well and there is nothing serious. I just need to get a little stronger.

That's it for me. Bye!

July Letter

 Dear Family & Friends,

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful July. I sure did. My July started out with the Fourth of July of course! I had a ward breakfast at my neighbors in the morning. We had all kinds of yummy breakfast food. Everything tasted awesome and I had a lot of fun. After that I had a family party with lots of my cousins. It was pretty fun, even though I wish there was more relatives my age! I played with lots of toddlers, (more like lots of toddlers played with me), and ate some good food. The toddlers had lots of fun with me, I'm not sure what the game was called, but it was somewhere on the lines of hit me with anything they had at there disposal.

The saddest thing that happened to me this month was that Brandon left us to go on a mission to Arkansas. We brought him to the MTC, said our goodbyes, and then poof, our happy family of six feels like it has been cut down to five. I am happy for him that he has gone on a mission and I feel like he has been a big example to me my entire life. I am seeing him over zoom, but I still miss him. I can't wait to see him face to face in two years.

We have some cool hikes near us including one called the grotto. Its a nice hike up in the mountains and at the end there is a waterfall that's really cool. We drove up to the hike in the Jeep dad just bought from our neighbor. I liked the hike and I had a lot of fun.

Me, mom, dad, and Sam went on a trip to beaver with a couple of our relatives. I stayed in a condo, but my aunt stayed up on top of the mountain in her trailer. I spent most of my time up at camp or driving around on my four-wheeler. Sam had a lot of fun with his cousins, and I had lots of fun on the rides. We spent a couple of nights their and I had a lot of fun. We drove to a waterfall that was really cool and we drove to many other cool places on our four-wheelers. I hope we can go up hear another time.

To end off this awesome month, I had a soccer tournament. My team played really well and ended up winning the whole thing! The medals where really cool and it was fun to play again after taking June off.

Well that's my month in a nutshell. I hope you are all safe and enjoying life. Bye!

June Letter

 Dear Family & Friends,

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a awesome June. My month wasn't that busy, but I had lots of fun. My family and I went to this cool place that had an arcade, a bowling alley, and a restaurant. The food was awesome and I had lots of fun bowling. Sam had lots of fun to!

I had the chance this month to go to a very big nation wide soccer tournament. I went with the older team in my club as a sub. I played quite a bit and played pretty well. We made it all the way to the championship, beating out Montana, Oregon, Idaho and many more high ranked teams, only to get destroyed in the final by Arizona. They were really good and I learned a lot from playing them.

That was my uneventful month. I hope you all are safe and healthy.

Love, Kyle Patrick Barnhisel
